Backpacking on the Neusiok Trail – 2 mile hike Friday night, 18 mile hike Saturday.
Dragon Patrol – Mock Backpacking, Sleep at Basecamp (Oyster Point Campground)
Scouts should pack their backpack just as they would be for a true backpacking trip. They will sleep at Basecamp but will hike 6 miles carrying all of their gear. Will return and sleep at Basecamp. Each scout is on their own for meals.
First Class Requirements
3, 6, assist Flaming Arrow Patrol with map & compass.
Flaming Arrow Patrol – Hiking, Sleep at Basecamp
Typical Basecamp camping trip, but they should bring a Daypack that includes the Scout Basic Essentials (p. 264). Will hike with Dragon Patrol.
Second Class Requirements
1a, 1b, 3a, 3b, 3g, 6, 7b
Canoeing and fishing, lake shore clean up.
Our Senior Patrol Leader Matthew has planned a team competition involving many of the skills the scouts have learned with their rank advancements – first aid, knot tying, fire building, dessert cooking, and more.
Scouts need to bring a compass and their book, along with the typical items they should pack for each trip.
